Description

Still practicing. Now with a bit of better results.
All done in GIMP. I had to do a path tool cram session before I started this. I'm a little happy with the results, but I need way more practice.
Super simple, super boring. I need to learn more complex stuff...

Critiques are welcome!

Hey. I saw on a forum post you wanted a critique, so here it is!

Firstly, make sure the logo corresponds to what you are trying to advertise, or show. So far, this is pretty simplistic stuff, but it could be made better with some more colour, or images.

Having said that, the colour is quite nice. The shine on the symbol itself, and shadows, give it a really nice 3-D look, which I like a lot. The font you used for the writing is also really good, and stands out nicely.

The symbol itself, however, is quite overrated, and has been used so many times before. Why not (since I'm guessing it's a logo about yourself?) use a pattern or shape that you have used in your gallery in one of your own deviations? At least try to broaden your ideas and think to yourself 'how can I make this look more interesting and eye-catching?'. Think about who you are showing this logo to, and how much you want to grab their attention.

Overall, it's OK, since you mentioned you'd only just started doing these, but perhaps use some more colour, and try to link the logo to what you're trying to display. Good luck with this! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
